Australia’s Missing Growth Strategy and How to Find It
Hint: Look for highly ambitious entrepreneurs climbing tech trees
During a recent appearance on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s (ABC) QandA program, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese was asked to define the modern-day dream for young Australians?
“Is it just to survive? Or will we start seeing a pathway to thrive?”
The Prime Minister struggled to answer. He said he was a natural optimist, and believed despite some steps back, “History moves forward, over time.”
He acknowledged that the dream of home ownership was more difficult to envision today than a decade ago. But he was optimistic that Australia’s multiculturalism and our geographic location in Southeast Asia, a region of the world “that is the fastest growing in human history” means this is where “all the action is in economic development.”
